Refund policy

At Mella, we want you to feel confident and cared for with every purchase. If something isn't right, we're here to help. This policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work.

Our Return Window

You have [30] days from the date your order is delivered to request a return. To be eligible, your item must be:

  • In the same condition that you received it;
  • In its original packaging, with any tags or seals intact;
  • Accompanied by your proof of purchase (order number or receipt).

Because our product is a personal safety accessory, items that have been soiled or damaged may not be eligible for return for health and safety reasons, except where the item is defective or where required by law.

How to Start a Return

To begin a return, email us at [support@mellamama.com] with your order number and the reason for your return. We'll review your request and, if approved, send you instructions on where and how to send your item.

Please do not send items back before receiving return instructions, as we may be unable to process returns sent without prior approval.

Return Shipping

  • Customer-paid: You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot guarantee we will receive your returned item.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within [5–10] business days. Please note that your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.

Exchanges

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or you received the wrong product, contact us at [support@mellamama.com] within [3] days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. We will make it right with a replacement or full refund, including any applicable shipping costs.

Non-Returnable Items

The following generally cannot be returned:

  • Items marked as final sale or clearance;
  • Gift cards

Order Cancellations

A Note on Product Safety

Mella's seat belt positioner is a belt-positioning comfort aid and is not a substitute for proper seat belt use or medical guidance. For your safety, we recommend replacing the product if it shows signs of wear or has been involved in a collision, and following your vehicle manufacturer's and healthcare provider's guidance on seat belt use during pregnancy. This safety guidance does not affect your statutory rights.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Where local law provides you with greater rights than those described here, those rights apply.
